Job Description: Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, selects, prepares and packages medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. Performs record keeping functions. Assists in various inventory control processes.
Job Specifications:
- Accurate counting of medications utilizing a manual process as well as any automated counting devices
- Exercise proper hands sanitization and hazardous medication handling practices
- Performs functions &/or responsibilities of an Operations Assistant (packer) as needed
- Responsible for preparing and/or restocking the filling station with medications and/or supplies as needed
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30a-5pm, Sundays optional overtime 8am-12pm.
Requirements:
- Must have understanding of basic Pharmacy law
- Prefer three months of work experience in a pick/pack/ship environment
- NV PHARMACY TECH REGISTERED LICENSE IS REQUIRED
Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for duration of shift (8-10 hours). Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs. for duration of shift. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 30-50 lbs. during a shift. Reaching and grasping objects at various levels is required.
Work Environment: Employee regularly works near and around moving machinery (conveyor belts).The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be required to wear protective clothing or equipment.
