We are urgently looking for someone who is interested in the Pharmacy Technician 1 position.
* MUST be comfortable in a WAREHOUSE ENVIRONMENT*
**Already has a National Certificate - must obtain IL license before first day***
*will be using an automated pill counting machine (EYE-CON). Site will provide training*
*At least 6 months experience as a pharmacy technician.
*National pharmacy technician certification. Eligible for state registration, certification or license per state regulations.
Position Summary:
Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, selects, prepares, and packages medications and supplies in preparation for shipment to patients. Performs record keeping functions. Assists in various inventory control processes.
Selects, picks, packages and labels medications and ancillary supplies per prescription, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with the specialty guidelines and pharmacy laws.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to stand and walk for the duration of shift (8-10 hours). Will be using adjustable tables, but will always be standing and moving.
- Must be able to repeatedly lift 5-10 lbs tote boxes and medication boxes for the duration of shift.
- Reaching and grasping objects at various levels is required.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to utilize a keyboard and operate departmental machinery (EYE-CON-pill counting machine)
Work Environment:
- Employees regularly work near and around moving machinery (conveyor belts).The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee may be required to wear protective clothing or equipment.
Shift Schedule:
- 12:30 PM - 9: 00 PM CST Monday - Friday
