Diosandy became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2010 and has loved her nursing career since! Having started working with MRS in 2014, Diosandy works as a traveling Nurse Consultant serving long-term care facilities and their pharmacies. When asked what the most rewarding aspect of her job is, she says it“is the satisfaction of being able to contribute to the overall care of a resident. When we teach out nurses how to use the difference systems that our company offers, we are making their workload easier, thus allowing them to spend a little more time giving quality care to our residents.”Possessing a background in long-term care, she is thankful for having worked directly with her elderly patients and says“I have the opportunity to learn so much about life’s different aspects through other people’s experiences. Talking to elders has taught me that sometimes you could learn about other people’s victories and failures, thus avoiding a few mistakes of my own.”Outside of work, Diosandy enjoys donating her time to volunteer work to community-based organizations such as homeless shelters, hospitals and orphanages. In addition, she serves as a youth mentor at her church.
“For me, it is very important to have a team to rely on. Since our job demands that we travel more often than not, having a team back at [MRS] that always answers our questions in a timely manner has been essential to our overall work performance.”
