If you’re working with our staffing agency or another, building a relationship with your recruiter is going to be a key ingredient to your success in gaining a job with the agency. I wrote a little bit more detail on how to build a relationship with your recruiter and you can read that here, but this post will be a little bit more on the why.

So why exactly should you build a relationship with your recruiter? First off, thinking about the relationships in your personal life, the people that you are closer to are the people that you are honest with and are most likely to help out. The same goes for recruiters. If there are two candidates with identical resumes and backgrounds, a recruiter will most likely approach the candidate that has built a rapport with them. The relationship definitely works both ways as well. As a candidate, if you aren’t happy with your relationship with your recruiter, you should look for different agencies. As much as you need to be honest with what you want from a position, your recruiter should be honest about what comes with the positions they are approaching you with. Something Medical Recruitment Strategies and Pharmaceutical Strategies strives to do is offer complete transparency with what positions entail. We are in the business of helping people get jobs, and there is no scenario where placing a candidate in a job that is not fit for them is beneficial to our company, our clients, or our candidates.
