Job Title: Licensed Pharmacy Technician (CA) - Inventory & Operations
Shift: Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM PST (1-hour lunch)
Employment Type: Full-Time


Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role focuses on managing inventory, maintaining SOX documentation, and supporting pharmacy operations under the supervision of a pharmacist and the inventory supervisor. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage purchasing, receiving, tracking, and reconciliation of inventory balances.

  • Maintain accurate SOX documentation related to inventory management.

  • Monitor product trends, shortages, and remove short-dated or expired products.

  • Ensure pharmacy pick stations and packing stations are properly stocked with medications and supplies.

  • Place approved orders for shipping supplies.

  • Assist in maintaining dispensing and back stock refrigerators in an organized manner.

  • Support Operations Assistants with packing, shipping, and cleaning tasks as needed.

  • Assist Inventory CDR with receiving, posting, put-away, and cycle counting functions.

  • Fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.

  • Accurately count medications using manual and automated (EYECON) counters.

  • Assist pharmacists with scanning and labeling medication orders.

  • Follow pharmacy tech protocols and sign off on compliance annually.

  • Perform cleaning and maintenance on pill counting equipment.

  • Apply mathematical concepts to inventory functions and perform basic data entry.

  • Learn and utilize computer applications for communication and record-keeping.

  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and prioritize tasks efficiently.

  • Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, walking, lifting for several hours).


Qualifications:

  • Must have an active and current California Pharmacy Technician License (please provide a copy with your resume).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to follow directions and standard operating procedures.

  • Proficiency in basic typing and data entry.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Able to lift and carry heavy items safely.
