Dental Assistant Mobile
Job Description: This position is responsible for visiting long-term care facilities and assisting physicians with dental care. Main duties include maintaining clinical records and charts through electronic medical records and care and cleaning of medical equipment. Normally they are in the clinic 70-80% of the time and the other 20-30% of the time includes their drive time and paperwork that is associated with the role.
Job Specifications:
- Assist the doctor with patient care in a prompt and courteous manner
- Reviews, verifies, and maintains current and accurate clinical records, charts, and medical history through electronic medical records
- Updates patient odontogram for every patient encounter
- Maintains dental supplies inventory by auditing stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies
- Assists dentist diagnosis by exposing and processing digital dental radiographs
- Provide timely responses to patient inquiries; document conversations in the EMR
- Responsible for all care and cleaning of dental equipment
Note: This position requires travel up to 100% of the time. A company van will be provided. You will service a 2.5-hour radius around the Westerville OH location. *Mileage reimbursement offered + drive time pay*
Physical Demands:
- Frequent lifting requirements vary depending upon the specialty division hired for (50 pounds or more)
- Must be able to push patients in a wheelchair
- Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours
- Requires standing, walking, pushing, and stooping on a periodic basis
Schedule: Monday to Friday - 8 AM to 5 PM
