Provides supervision for the
daily operation of Hopital Family Birthplace. Acts on behalf
of the organization, providing supervision for staff. Participates in the
hiring process and disciplinary action as necessary. Demonstrates knowledge of
and assures compliance with accrediting/regulatory agency standards, hospital
and departmental policies and procedures, service excellence standards, and
professional organizational evidence based standards (The Association of
Womens Health (AWHONN, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ACGOG)
and American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
Submission Requirements
* POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications
are required unless stated otherwise.)
A. Experience:
* Three years of unit specific
experience required.
* Teaching experience preferred.
* Leadership experience required.
* Experience with electronic
medical record and clinical documentation systems required.
B. Education and Training:
* RN required.
* BSN required, MSN preferred.
* Knowledge of software
applications (Outlook, Microsoft) required.
* Must take course for AWHONN
fetal monitor instructor within one year.
C. License, Certification & Registration:
* RN License - Currently licensed
as an RN in Massachusetts.
* BLS
* ACLS
* NRP
D. Other Requirements:
* Maintain professionalism and

* Demonstrates leadership and
communicates a strong work ethic and commitment toward service excellence.
* Excellent interpersonal skills;
communicates effectively with patients, family members, physicians, senior
leadership and staff.
* Well organized and able to prioritize
a variety of complex assignments simultaneously. Meets deadlines in a timely
manner.
* Demonstrates understanding of
local, state and federal regulating agencies (DCF, DPH, TJC).
* Demonstrates dependability and
transparency.
* Documented effectiveness in
confronting problems and resolving conflict.
E. Other Addendum(s) Requirements:
Complete
education for AWHONN fetal monitoring within 2 years.
