Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Float Position

Location: Cape Coral & Estero, FL
Job Type: Full-Time | Contract | In-Clinic
Scedule: Full-time hours: 30-40 hours/week - Includes every other weekend and some holidays


About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) for a contract-based float position. You will support two outpatient clinic locations in Cape Coral and Estero, FL, providing patient-centered care, including vaccinations, intake duties, and clinical support functions.

This is a temporary position offering 30-40 hours per week with the possibility of extension. It includes hands-on experience in a fast-paced, team-based environment, ideal for nurses passionate about community health and patient advocacy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Administer immunizations and injections (Flu, COVID, TB, etc.)

  • Record patient vital signs and assist with emergency care when needed

  • Complete patient registration, intake, and discharge

  • Manage appointment scheduling, outreach calls, and waiting room activity

  • Accurately document patient encounters in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming clinical environment

  • Support a collaborative, patient-first team culture


Qualifications

Required:

  • Active, unrestricted LPN or LVN license in the United States (screenshot required)

  • Current BLS certification (must not expire within 30 days of start date)

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting

  • Proficient in obtaining and recording vital signs

  • EMR documentation experience

  • Must pass a FIT test and wear a respirator as required

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to float between locations

  • Availability to complete 3-week training and work scheduled hours, including weekends/holidays

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)

  • Graduate of a Practical or Vocational Nursing program approved by the State or accredited by NLNAC
