Job Title: Long-Term Care Pharmacist - Closed Door Pharmacy

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy team. In this fast-paced, closed-door environment, you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate, safe, and timely medication dispensing services for various care facilities. This position is ideal for a pharmacist with a strong work ethic who thrives on providing high-quality pharmaceutical care behind the scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and execute daily pharmacy operations aligned with workflow, production quotas, and deadlines
Supervise pharmacy production staff to maintain workflow, accuracy, and delivery schedule
Perform clinical review of prescriptions for accuracy, therapy appropriateness, and interactions
Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding processes per USP 797/795 standards
Handle ordering, inventory, and documentation of all controlled substances
Assist with emergency kits, Omnicell systems, and IV drug preparation
Maintain HIPAA compliance and support ongoing quality improvement initiatives
Participate in an on-call rotation for evening, weekend, and holiday coverage
Report and resolve medication occurrences and assist in drug recalls
Additional duties as required based on pharmacy location
Required Qualifications:
BS or Pharm.D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy
Active license to practice pharmacy in good standing (state of residence)
1 to 3 years of pharmacy experience
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 2 years of experience in long-term care pharmacy
Immunization certification
Ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a fast-paced setting
