Job Description: We are seeking an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to provide support to hospital pharmacists and help them prepare and distribute medication to patients. As an Inpatient Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for receiving medication orders, measuring medication quantities, counting tablets, creating compounded medication, and keeping the working area clean and organized.
Responsibilities:
- Receive medication orders and prepare medication for dispensing
- Measure medication quantities and count tablets accurately
- Create compounded medication as per the pharmacist's instructions
- Label and package medication correctly for dispensing
- Maintain accurate records of medication inventory and usage
- Keep the working area clean and organized
- Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines
- Assist in other duties as required
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician program is preferred
- Valid pharmacy technician license in Texas
- Prior experience working in an inpatient pharmacy setting is preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
